Maximizing R side of E/R for PvE
I've just started an E/R character for PvE with the intent of being a primary aoe damage dealer in mind. The build I have in mind is maxing out fire + en storage and spam non-exaustion aoe spells with the aid of ele attunement and fire attunement, so I have a large amount of stamina during a siege game between our monk and their priest(s). I took ranger as a secondary class because of quickening zephyr or serpent's quickness. The idea is to prolong my usefullness in the field while dealing out as much damage as possible. I haven't done much PvE, since I spend most of my time in PvP, so I'm not sure how important stamina is. So the question I have is: how should I best utilize my ranger secondary for this build and should I use quickening zephyr or serpent's quickness? Or maybe I should pack a winter, just incase fire resistance becomes a problem? Also, because 3/8 of my spell slot are prep spells, is the extra time I spend prepping and weakness to hex removal going to pose a big problem?

If you're prolonging your performance, you should in no way be using quickening zypher, because you won't be able to spam skills for more than a short period of time. Elementalists already have energy hefty spells. Serpent's quickness is superior in every way (pve-wise), and you won't be annoying your party members by using Zypher.

Just keep in mind that spirits are global, and don't only affect yourself. If you really don't care, using energizing winds with tiger's fury tends to have good results.

I've a few questions:
1. How does tiger's fury stack with energizing winds? Does it make me sling off spells faster?
2. I already have two energy management skills (ele attunement and fire attunement) so is it really neccessary to have energizing winds? It seems energizing winds will benefit my enemies (Without attunements) than it will me.

I think he means Serpent's Quickness. Energizing winds makes skill recharge longer, while decreasing mana cost down to 10. For you, your big 25-energy spells will cost only 10 mana, which is especially useful for fire elementalists, however it will screw air spikers who don't have any 25-mana spells, and rely on their fast recharge skills to spike with. Using Serpent's Quickness as well, your skill recharge will be slightly faster than normal, while everyone else's skill recharge will be slower.
Energizing Winds works just as well with your attunements, since you get 30% / 50% back from the COST of the spell, and not the actual energy spent. If you use a 20% faster recharge wand and a 20% / 20% faster cast/faster recharge focus item, you can semi-spam your fire spells and not worry about mana for a long, long while.
EDIT:
Here's a suggested skill set to use:
Fireball
Meteor shower
Rodgort's Invocation
Mind Burn {E}
Mark of Rodgort
Fire Attunement
Energizing Wind
Serpent's Quickness
I really emphasize Mind Burn here because with fire attunement and energizing wind, you most likely will have more energy than your target, even if its another elementalist, since you'll be gaining back huge chunks of energy from your 25-mana spells.
When your main attack spells are recharging, hit them with Mark of Rodgort and fire your wand at them to set them on fire for extra DoT.
